“Sometimes we all feel the need for some support and a safe place just to be ourselves.”
Louisa K Aspden
Located in Eastbourne, East Sussex, Creative Counselling offers therapeutic services to people of all ages and at all stages in their lives.
As a counsellor I have had the privilege of helping many individuals and hearing their unique stories. Each one uses the sessions in their own way. Some want to talk and others are more reflective. Some appreciate the opportunity to use creative approaches, such as visualisation, art, imaginative writing, music, relaxation and sand tray work. These are especially useful when words cannot adequately describe our experiences or vocabulary is limited.
People bring a variety of issues to therapy, which may concern the past, the present or the future. They may be depressed, anxious, or under stress for many reasons. Sometimes people don’t know the cause of their distress and this can also be explored.
As well as working with a wide range of concerns, I have particular experience of issues around loss, illness, childhood trauma, sexual abuse, eating disorders and mental health.
